You can't care about everything, energy is limited. The point is choosing what to care about
Wanting a positive experience all the time is itself a negative experience (the backwards law)
Pain is part of it. Happiness comes from solving problems, not from not having them
What pain are you willing to sustain? What you want is defined by the sacrifice you accept
You are not special. Accepting that takes away the weight of having to be extraordinary all the time
Bad values: pleasure, material success, always being right, always being positive
Good values: honesty, responsibility, humility, curiosity
Fault and responsibility are different things. Not everything is your fault, but everything that happens to you is your responsibility
Be suspicious of your own certainties, we are wrong about a lot
Knowing how to say no is what gives the yes its value
Thinking about death helps put everything else in perspective
