Im-Vestor
A marketplace that matches entrepreneurs with investors and takes them from first contact to a meeting.

The problem
Getting in front of investors still runs on who you know. When researchers surveyed 885 venture capitalists, only about 10% of their deals came inbound from founders. The rest came through professional networks, referrals from other investors and the firms' own search (source). A founder without that network is close to invisible, and investors still wade through pitches that don't fit their thesis.
What I did
I joined a team of three developers in March 2025 and became its largest contributor, with about half of the platform's commits.
- Matching. Entrepreneurs, investors, incubators and partners each have their own profile and flow, and recommendations match projects to investors.
- From pitch to meeting. Pitch uploads, negotiations, chat and built-in video meetings (Daily.co) in one place.
- Paid boosts. "Poke", "Boost" and "Hyper Train" add-ons, referrals and VC groups, billed with Stripe.
- Trust and safety. Vetted profiles, chat moderation, presence and an admin activity monitor.
- Later, real-time messages and notifications for the Im-Vestor Leads app.
Stack: Next.js with tRPC and Prisma on Postgres, Clerk, Stripe, Supabase, Daily.co and Resend.
Result
Im-Vestor is live, with entrepreneurs and investors going from a profile to a video meeting without leaving the platform. The code is public on GitHub.
